small little things

A friend  over phone suggested to write something which a young multitasking women can easily relate with(more readers more popularity),but she was baffled over my reply of not to write anything just to please readers so that they can extract humour out of my blog and feel happy of how they are becoming central charater of my daily life.i usually see many blogs on how a young mother feels, how a working women manages her time  and many more but tell me why to be self centric?today iam writing about the most important person in the lives of all descent economic class women(coz not every women has her own maid.)yes iam talking about your househelp.(may be kaamwali feels offensive but we generally use this word in india).she is a real shaktimaan in our lives who just after sipping one cup of chai(preferably hot!)do dusting, mopping, washing and all other -ing of our daily routine so that we can relax can read one good novel(i generally do this).yes yes don't feel guilty coz we all pay for it but is it worth the work?now coming on to the wages its some 700rs to 1500rs a month varying from place to place.at my place its the lower one but in cities like kanpur latter one is paid.may be metro cities pay much more.(here iam not talking of full time maids). So the crux is, its like 25 to 50rs per day.Now some of us will put the argument that they work in 5 to 6 homes in that way they get some 5-6 thousand but for this they work 5hrs mrng and 5hrs evening, also they have their own family back at home. we cant  underestimate the nature of work at homes.now think of the work per day!Our sinkful of bartans with choked sink coz some of us dont even bother to take off the left over food (please dont feel offended as,these days we indians have become too fragile emotionally) followed by dusting and mopping. While eating a 20rs lays packet (half of which is puffed with air)these noble thoughts were munching into my brain and when i finished that, she has just finished, half of the dreadful bartans.yes yes i will quote the fact that most  benevolent of us give them extra food ,clothes, books which is no longer in our use but we really cant take credit for that.what else we could have done with that stuff?Throw it! Now unlike other employees they don't get any official CL or ML.they get leaves on your mercy but they mostly get it! but again some of us(please dont be offended)apply scissors to their small little salary on per day k hisaab se itna milega!.Big metro cities have unions to look after houseworkers rights but in small cities they fall prey to our autocracy.wages of a daily unskilled labour is some 200rs(In gov.organisations after 7th pay commission some will get what engineers are getting in private firms!).so seeing this their wages should also be escalated.Iam not a noted philanthropist but i behave best of my behavior with my maid.but behavior is not enough for their endeavor with life.
